Do you offer a wedding package, or do we choose the elements individually?

Yes, we do offer a wedding package as a starting point for creating the event(s).

Each wedding is estimated independently to calculate for the size of the affair and to include the details that matter to each couple.

We customize the package to suit the vision of the couple’s wedding day. Begin communicating with the villa manager and find out how easy it is to create your destination wedding package.

Is there a dedicated wedding planner ? How do we plan our wedding?

Yes, and we are very experienced at planning weddings via email and conference calls with our couples. We will be seeking an inspiration board and/Pinterest to understand your vision of decor as well. After your booking you will receive a wedding planning document that will help you to organize and collect all the details we need to create your special event at Casa Kimball.

What is the best time of year to host a destination wedding at Casa Kimball?

The Dominican Republic is an all-year destination; the temperature remains constant almost year round. The annual average temperature is 25 degrees Celsius (77°Fahrenheit). Rainfall is seasonal. The least rainy season is the period from June to September, which as in the rest of the country is hot and sunny. Another more favourable time period is from February to mid-April.

How much time would we need to reserve our wedding in advance?

Due to travel logistics and invites, our couples tend to reserve anywhere between 8 months to a year in advance. Although there is no minimum requirement and our vendors tend to be more flexible then in the US or Canada. Weddings are possible even with only 2-3 months notice.

When do we have to confirm our guest attendance and event details?

We ask that you round off your estimated event attendance within approx. 5-10 guests prior to the last payment which is due 30 days prior to villa occupancy. By this time our planner will have begun the planning process with you and will have collected most of the details for your event. We may be able to accept a slight increase after applying this attendance number and will accept some changes to your event decor or set up. If your attendance drops from the number on which we based the last payment we will credit the difference on your final villa bill. If at the very end you have a balance in your favour we issue a reimbursement within 10 business days of your departure. The final guest attendance and slight adjustment to decor details for our providers should be provided no later than 10-14 days prior to your arrival.

Is the price of a destination wedding at your venue included in the price of our stay?

No, it is not. A separate proposal is developed dedicated to the event(s). There is a 4 night minimum stay. Complete details for your luxury private rental can be found here.

How many guests can we host for a destination wedding at Casa Kimball?

We have found that weddings of 40-60 are most harmonized with the destination venue and the wedding experience being sought by our couples.

We want to be nothing less then the perfect venue for you and your guests, for your luxury vacation in the Caribbean and your marriage celebrations.

Are there accommodation options in the area for our additional guests?

There are also other 3, 8 and 10 bedroom villa options with walking distance of Casa Kimball. Friends and family of our wedding couples have had much success with Airbnb to find additional accommodations as well. Once you select the exact dates we are happy to determine availability at other properties so we can present them to you and so you can offer them to your friends and family.

What do you offer in the way of decor , flowers , cake ect.? What do you not offer?

Via our planning document we collect ideas of the details that move and inspire our couples and they would like added to their destination wedding . This document is also a collection point for any images that our couples share that reflect their tastes and style.

Based on an understanding of your desires and with what is available here in the Dominican Republic we can create a beautiful event. Weddings at Casa Kimball are customarily elegant and celebratory with simple or extravagant details that are complimentary of the magnificent surroundings. As is each couple, every wedding is unique.

Our couples bring any print material they wish as a part of their event (ie. place cards, itinerary, menus) as well as wedding favors or personalized special touches (ie. guest book). We are happy to put them in place for you.

Will someone be available to iron my wedding dress?

Yes and we do have a steamer on site.

Are photography/video services available? 

Yes, we do have a recommendation for both a local photographer and a someone to shoot a customized wedding day video. Details are in our wedding package. Also, our couples have frequently organized their own destination photographer.

Can you assist with transportation for our guests?

Yes, we can assist with both airport transfers and all ground transportation for the wedding day.

Can you arrange a special tour or activity for our guests?

Yes, we can.

How do I  begin to budget for my destination wedding at Casa Kimball?

Contact us via via email to let us know you are interested in a destination wedding with us. We will begin by sharing some information and a questionnaire to collect the details we need to prepare a proposal for you. We are happy and experienced to help you advance with your plans.

How do I make a booking?

Select your dates and send in an email with your full name, address and telephone number to sales@casakimball.com. Also let us know how many guests 4 to 11yrs and how many guests 11yrs + will stay at the villa and how many event guests you anticipate.  With this information we will send you the invoice and rental agreement for your review and to issue to the villa owner for finalizing the reservation process.

Do you require a rental deposit? How much? When is the balance due?

Reservation dates are confirmed and guaranteed with the deposit of 50% of the rental fee and if received within 7 days of your booking request. The balance of the rental and any inclusions of your vacation rental such are gratuity, meal plan, transport and any special events packages are paid in full 30 days prior to the rental.

If reservations are made less then 30 days before arrival then the booking is confirmed and guaranteed when the full (100%) payment of the rental fee, the meal plan and any special events packages are received within 5 days of your booking request.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your rental deposit and payments issued toward your rental are non-refundable. If a change of dates is required and 30 days notice is provided a credit of 90% of any payments will be given towards a future rental if booked within the period of one year. If for any unseen reasons the villa becomes unavailable for your rental a full refund of any payments you have made will be provided.
