Privacy policy

Casa Kimball is a private oceanfront villa in Orchid Bay, Cabrera, Dominican Republic. This policy describes what information we collect when you visit casakimball.com or reserve a stay, and how we use it. Questions any time: monica@casakimball.com.

What we collect

Reservation information. When you request a booking or correspond with us, we collect the details needed to host you: your name, email address, phone number, billing address, the dates and party details of your stay, and payment records (payments are made by wire transfer — we never see or store card numbers).

Website usage. We use first-party cookies to understand how visitors use our site: pages viewed, time spent, and dates searched for availability. This information identifies a browser, not a person, unless you book a stay or sign in. We also use Google Analytics for aggregate site statistics.

Sign-in. We do not use passwords. When you ask to view your reservations, we send a one-time sign-in link to the email address or mobile number on your reservation, and we keep a record of that sign-in.

How we use it

To operate your reservation: preparing quotes and invoices, arranging your stay, corresponding with you, and — when you request it — sending one-time sign-in links and stay-related messages. We also use website usage information to understand interest in the villa and improve the site.

What we never do

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it with third parties, except the service providers that operate our website, email, and text messaging on our behalf. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

Text messages

We send text messages only in connection with a reservation or at your request — one-time sign-in links and requests to complete stay details. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. See our SMS terms.

Retention and your choices

Reservation records are kept as long as we operate the villa, for our accounting and to welcome you back. Website usage data is retained for about 13 months. To review, correct, or delete information we hold about you, write to monica@casakimball.com and we will take care of it.
